Jordan R. Plews, PhD
Co-founder, CEO

Dr. Plews completed his postdoctoral and business school training at Stanford University after completing degrees in the UK in Biochemical Engineering & Bioprocess Development, and Stem Cell Research & Molecular Biology. His research has focused on stem cells and regenerative medicine and has been published in a variety of well respected scientific and medical journals. Following many years investigating the use of various types of stem cells on injury and degenerative diseases, he has gone on to build and lead teams, setting up stem cell culture labs and developing stem cell-based regenerative medicine solutions before pivoting into aesthetics.

Experience

Dr. Plews, whose research has been published in top tier medical journals such as Nature Methods and the Journal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, obtained his postdoctoral training at Stanford University. There, he conducted research and trained Ph.D. students. Following many years of research utilizing various types of stem cells to treat a variety of health issues, Dr. Plews co-founded Xytogen Biotech in 2015, a California based cosmeceutical company developing next-generation topical, stem cell based skincare solutions. Over a five-year period, he led a team to build a fully-functioning stem cell culture laboratory, and launched over five high-end products that generated multi-million dollars in top line national sales. Dr. Plews’ career spans biochemical engineering, molecular biology, and stem cell applications. He earned a Ph.D. from and received first class honors in the engineering doctorate program in Biochemical Engineering & Bioprocess Management at University College London.


Dr. Tim Sayed MD
Co-founder, CMO

Dr. Sayed is a double board-certified plastic surgeon with nearly two decades of experience. Presently, he owns and operates plastic surgery offices in Southern California and draws patients from around the United States and the world. He brings academic knowledge and clinical experience in plastic surgery, aesthetics, anti-aging, skincare, and health technology.

Experience

Dr. Sayed has served as a medical director and investor at electronic health records and practice management company Modernizing Medicine, with over $300M in financing raised, including Warburg Pincus Series F. He has also served as vice president and seed investor at Interpreta, which provides precision medicine clinical interpretation solutions. Dr. Sayed has also served on the board of Fruit Street Health, which has raised over $15M from physician investors and has customer relationships with ShareCare and Walgreens. Dr. Sayed also serves on the advisory board of Featherlink, a company which applies artificial intelligence to help improve surgical outcomes. He also is on the advisory board at Seqster, a software-based platform to manage comprehensive electronic medical records, which has received strategic funding from Takeda. Dr. Sayed oversees product development, marketing and brings academic knowledge and clinical experience in aesthetics, anti-aging, skincare, and health technology.

Dr. Sayed completed medical training at UCSF and surgical residency at Harvard Medical School. He holds a B.S. in electrical engineering and computer sciences from Berkeley, M.D. from UCSF School of Medicine, and M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
